HR Advisor - MAT42

An exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor has arisen to join the HR team of Abbey Multi Academy Trust. This is a newly created role and will sit within our new HR Team structure. 

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and experienced professional to provide HR advice and guidance within the remit of a generalist HR Advisor. As an integral part of the HR team, you will have a good understanding of key HR, payroll and pension administrative processes. You will practice a sound knowledge of employment legislation in conjunction with sector specific standards, terms and conditions for both teaching and non-teaching staff. 

You will be a committed team player with the ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels of the organisation. You will be a collaborator and connector with an ability to show empathic customer relations, whilst working effectively as part of a wider team advising colleagues and staff members at all levels of seniority on HR matters. You will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your workload and work independently. 

On a day to day basis you will support the HR team with full HR generalist support across the entire employee lifecycle. 

Some of the day to day duties will include: - 

  • First line support to colleagues and staff members regarding all employee relations casework 
  • Providing clear and accurate advice in a timely manner 
  • Processing tasks from HR Helpdesk & shared group email accounts 
  • Producing system reports as required 
  • Supporting the HR Manager and Head of HR with complex casework 
  • Assisting with recruitment, on-boarding and off-boarding 
  • Processing HR Admin, Payroll and Pension tasks within time bound deadlines 

Previous experience of working in a busy HR team across all the above aspects of HR is essential. Previous experience working within the education sector (ideally within a Multi Academy Trust) and qualified to CIPD Level 5 or above is required; although for an exceptional candidate with a commitment to develop to Level 5, CIPD Level 3 may be considered.
