Yavannah joined Abbey MAT in 2017, and became Director of Finance in 2020. Yavannah has over 20 years' experience in financial roles, working across both the corporate and public sectors. With two degrees in Law and Psychology, she qualified as an Accountant in 2010 under a training contract with Baker Tilly LLP where she worked as an auditor specialising in charity and academy audits.
As Director of Finance, Yavannah is responsible for the financial health of the Trust, guiding school leaders to maximise funding and manage spend. Her expertise in strategic decision making, founded on data and metrics ensure we align educational outcomes with financial efficiency. Yavannah is passionate about Social Value and Sustainability, embedding impactful action into all procurement activities. She and her team also work collaboratively with other Trusts to share best practices and innovative solutions.
Linked to our Trust-wide focus on Oracy, Yavannah has chosen ‘data' as her favourite word. Yavannah is always keen to base our decision making on facts, statistics and information.
